Post-publication Discussions and Corrections

Post-publication Discussions and Corrections

Science is a continuous conversation. Stardom Scientific Journal of Economy and Management Studies welcomes post-publication scrutiny and is committed to correcting the record promptly when errors are found.

1. Reader Comments

Readers may submit:

  • Letters to the Editor — a substantive scientific response to a published article (≤1,500 words, with references).
  • Comments — brief observations or questions sent to editor@stardomjournal.org.

Authors of the original article are given the opportunity to reply. Both letter and reply may be published together.

2. Errata / Corrections

Used for minor errors that do not affect the conclusions (typographical, citation, or figure labelling errors).

  • The original article remains the version of record but with a clearly visible link to the correction notice.
  • The correction is itself a citable publication with its own DOI.

3. Corrigenda

Used for author-initiated corrections of significant errors that may mislead readers but do not invalidate the main findings.

4. Retraction

Retraction is used when:

  • Findings are unreliable (honest error or research misconduct).
  • Plagiarism or duplicate publication is established.
  • Ethics violations occurred (e.g., undisclosed conflicts, lack of consent).

A retraction notice replaces the article in the table of contents; the original article is watermarked "RETRACTED" but kept accessible for the historical record.

5. Expression of Concern

Issued when serious doubts are raised but an investigation is still under way and the outcome is unclear.

6. Process

  1. Submit your concern in writing to editor@stardomjournal.org with a clear description and supporting evidence.
  2. The editorial board acknowledges within 5 working days.
  3. We consult the original authors and, when relevant, independent experts.
  4. A decision is made following COPE flowcharts.
  5. The reader and authors are informed of the outcome; any notice is published with a DOI.

All complaints are handled confidentially.
